Acoustical Analysis Associates, Inc. (AAAI) was organized in 1987 to provide the highest quality acoustical engineering and consulting services in the fields of transportation and community noise. AAAI firm members combine practical consulting and engineering experience with research and development project participation.
The quality and value of the services provided by a consulting firm rest primarily upon the ability, experience and judgement of the individual consultants working on the specific studies for a client, and not upon the size of the consulting firm. We believe that the services we offer are exceptional because of the knowledge and experience of the individual staff members of our firm.
Our community noise studies have included environmental impact assessments for a variety of projects, including office buildings, churches, residential developments, pumping stations, electrical substations and other industrial facilities. Highway projects have encompassed noise prediction, field noise measurements and the design of soundwalls.
AAAI rail and rapid transit activities have included the prediction and measurement of noise and vibration, and the development of mitigation measures. Recent projects include the Los Angeles-Pasadena light rail transit corridor EIR, Pasadena-Los Angeles Light Rail route refinement study, Coastal Corridor light rail transit EIR, Metro Orange Line transitional analysis, and the Georgetown Branch Trolley/Trail project in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
AAAI staff members have undertaken noise studies at most major airports in California, including Los Angeles International, Burbank, John Wayne, Oakland International, Lindbergh Field (San Diego), Long Beach, Ontario International, Sacramento Metro and Van Nuys. The range of airport activities include noise measurement and prediction, contour development, noise monitor system studies, noise abatement analyses and building noise insulation recommendations.
